I'm back! + What I got for Christmas!

Hello everyone!
I have to apologize for the lack of posts but I really didn't know how to deal with all the things I had to do. I'm really sorry if this disappointed you all!

Anyway, hopefully I will be more present: I have a lot of things to tell you! MERRY CHRISTMAS! I hope you had an amazing time with your family and friends! I've done some last minute Christmas shopping and got some presents!
This morning, I opened my presents! I was really happy because my parents gave me some money in advance so that I could buy the thins I wanted on my own, and well I did!
I decided to get some make up bits! I went to Sephora and (bam!) I took the Benefit They're real mascara! I'm so excited! This is the best mascara I've ever tried so far! It gives everything you expect from a mascara. I will certainly do a proper review all about that.
Then, I got an angled brush to apply gel eyeliner because the bristles of the other one I had fall out. Finally, I went to Lush and I only picked up one thing from their Christmas range: I didn't need anything in particular and didn't want to waste money, so I got the corn based facial cleanser "Let the good times Roll": its smell!!!! (review coming reeeeally soon - I adore it, I think I'll buy another jar :P)

I also did an order from the New Look website a few weeks ago: I got three bits: 2 simple dresses and and a plain black skirt. I'm so excited for that: everything suits me! Yep!

(I have to put these plain website pictures because it's dark here now and I can't have a proper lighting :( )

I really hope you enjoyed my post! I know it could be a bit boring but it's the best I can do today!
Tell me what YOU got for Christmas!

Skincare routine! #Winter edition

Hey girls! Here I am again!
I know, it's been soooo long since I wrote the last post but I never forgot you, my lovelies! I've been so busy with school that I couldn't take a break to write to you! I'm so sorry but I have an interesting post for you today!
I want to talk to you about my skincare routine, maybe you could get some ideas! Since it's really cold outside, my skin has become a little dry. So, I have changed a little bit.

Morning routine

When I get up, I wash my  face with cold water to make me feel definitely more awake! Then I apply some of my Bioderma solution micellaire (Review here) through my face as a cleanser. I spray my whole face with Lush Tea tree water and I apply a Royal jelly Nourishing day cream. It's from a local beauty brand called Albergian. But I'm sure you can find many other royal jelly-based moisturizers (I know Burt's bees does something similar). I like this one very much because it sinks in so easily and leaves my skin really soft.

Nighttime routine

Before I go to bed, I usually have my night routine. I take my make up off with Bioderma solution micellaire and then I apply the Yves Rocher Pure Calmille cleanser, which is really soothing and calming. As for toner, Lush Tea tree water again. As a nighttime moisturizer, I know it could sound weird but I have 2 choices: I apply the same cream I put in the morning (Royal jelly nourishing day cream) or I use some drops of Argan oil. Yes, oil. It's ah-mazing! Incredibly nourishing. You need the tiniest amount and you're ready to go! Me and my mum use the 100% pure argan oil, which is the most effective.

Since I have some other bits I use, my skincare changes depending on what my skin needs are.
For example, 2 weeks ago, I had a really bad breakout and my skin was unmanageable, seriously. I applied the Origins Super spot remover everyday to get rid of them but it was so bad. Now everything has calmed down and my skin has come to back quite normal as usual. Don't get me wrong, I still have spots and thigs like that but it's definitely better!

I can definitely say that the honey mask I applied last week has improved things a lot. Although it's very rich, it's been REALLY soothing and my skin felt much better the day after. I only needed 2 teaspoons for the whole face. I HIGHLY recommend this DIY mask. It works so well and you can do it whenever you want! I find that pure ingredients are much more affordable and effective!

So, that's it really! I hope you found it helpful or in some way interesting!
PS If you want, I can do masks related post, so that I can tell you something more about 'special' treaments! :)

Margaret

September favourites!

Hello ladies!
A little bit late, here you have my september favourites!

Real techniques Buffing brush
This is the best foundation brush I've ever tried. I always use this in the mornings and gives the most natural finish. It's incredibly soft and gentle. Bristles never fall out when you wash it.

Yves Rocher Pure Calmille cleanser and toner
My current cleanser. It is so soothing ad calming. It's light and fresh. It has helped so much in re-balancing my face after a bad breakout :/
I use it in the mornings and in the evenings after Bioderma (post here)

Collection 2000 Lasting perfection concealer
I wish I had this in Italy! nothing compares to this liquid concealer. I've got the shade 02 Light and it's a bit darker than my face, but I can barely notice it. It lasts for so long! A bargain!

The Body Shop Vitamin E night cream
I got this 15 ml cream in the Vitamin E kit I got in London (post here), it's perfect for my skin type. Moisturizing enough but not sticky at all. It sinks in so quickly and lasts for more than a month. I think I'll repurchase the full size on the website.

Kiko Eyeshadow 122
I know, it's quite a dead colour, but I found it to be the perfect colour for my crease. I used to apply it through my crease, while on the rest of the lid I put Virgin from the Naked palette.
It's a taupe matte colour, very pigmented and suitable for day and night looks.

Essence pure skin Anti spot compact powder in 01 beige
This is my go-to foundaion. Although it's meant to be a compact powder, it gives quite a good coverage. So I decided to use it as a foundation, it's light and the right shade for me. Perfect! I apply it with my lovely buffing brush!

So these are my iits for september!
What are YOUR favourites this month? Make sure you tell me this in the comments!
Thank you so much for reading!

JASON Restorative Biotin Shampoo review!

Hello ladies!
Today I want to share with you my thoughts about the JASON shampoo I got 2 months ago from feelunique.com. I talked to you about it in this post too :)
It's from the Restorative biotin range, which is dedicated to those who have damaged hair. It's paraben, phtalates and sls free and has many diffent plant extracts :)
The website says "JASON Restorative Biotin Pure Natural Shampoo gently cleanses as it restores healthy strength to weak, damaged hair. The thickening properties Biotin and Vitamin B5’s revitalise hair’s elasticity. Ginseng and lavender extracts help repair split ends and minimise future breakage. Fortified with energy, your hair looks healthier and grows stronger".

First off, I have thick hair. Although they should be stronger, they break very easily. They're quite long as well, so they tend to be weak.

My scalp has always tent to be oily while my ends have always been dry. When I started using the JASON shampoo I wasn't very impressed but now that it's been 2 months since I bought it, I can see the difference. My hair are definitely stronger and they are not weak at all, my ends are improved and there are not as many split ends as before.
My hair are now shiny and smooth but I think this is also due to my Lush and The Body Shop conditioners (review post coming soon).

So, basically I can say that my hair:
  • More shiny
  • Smoother
  • Stronger
Also, the bottle contains 473 ml of product, which is a huge amount for me! I've been constantly using it since I got it and I'm running out of it just now.
It's not tested on animals!!!!

Price: 6.29 £ / 8.18 euros

Definitely a big thumbs up!

I really hope this was helpful! Have you ever tried JASON products?
Any other hair care recommendation?

Love,
Margaret

Outfit of the day #5 Some flowers!

Hello everyone!
Today I want to show you my outfit, I decided to wear one of my Londoner purchases  yayyyy :)
Let's start!

New Look jersey dress 19.95 £ | Tezenis black cardigan | Calzedonia tights | OVS cotton scarf | Black ankle boots (which I got in a local shop)

It wasn't cold at all today, so I just put a cardigan and a scarf: it was enough to keep me warm :)

What do you think? Did I match the dress well?
Tell me in the comments! I love reading them!

Eucerin Aquaporin active Light moisturizer review!

Hello my ladies!
Today's post is all dedicated to beauty and skincare! I finally found the time to review my current favourite day cream: Eucerin Aquaporin active Light moisturizer. The story started a while ago. I was reading a magazine and I saw an advertisement of a new Eucerin moisturizer. I read through all the text and I was impressed. This cream works amazingly thanks to a new formula. The aquaporins are proteins (which are in our cells) which allow water to pass and go through all our cells deeply. This cream contains aquaporins and improve the hydration of the skin.

I can tell you, it really does the job. I got the first tube a few months ago, and I finished it up because I loved it so much! It lasts something like 2 months even if it's just 40 ml. A few weeks ago, I repurchased it and it's really worth the price: 14 euros for 40 ml.

There are 2 versions: one for dry skin, and another one which is much lighter for normal to combination skin.
It looks like a gel and it sinks in sooo quickly! I apply it every morning when I go to school and it works amazingly also as a make up base. It's very light scented and smoothes the skin.

I got this at the chemist's because it's only place where I can find it. I know  that Eucerin sells in many countries: here's the link to their website, you will be able to see all the Aquaporin range.

So, I can't recommend it enough!
I really hope this was helpful, have you ever tried Eucerin products?
Do you recommend any other product?

Margaret

NOTD #4

Hello everyone!

Here I am again and I want to share with you guys my nail choice! Everyone now has started wearing autumn things and I am with them: my nail varnish for today is a really autumn-y colour!

It's a really dark plum shade, almost black. I adore it, it's very elegant and classic.

The brand is Mavala, but I don't where it comes from. Do you know this brand?
It has a wide range of colours and the quality is really good, all the shades are completely opaque!

What do you think of my choice?
What are your autumn nail varnishes?

Outfit of the day #3

Hello everyone!
Today's a quick post: I want to show you what I wore today. I hope this can inspire you!

Topshop loose-fitting top | H&M necklace | OVS skinny jeans | Market shoes 'Clarks'

I forgot to include my black leather jacket, but don't worry I'll show it in my next outfit because I'm wearing it basically every day! The post will be up very soon!

So, it's a pretty casual look, but I was a bit lazy this morning and I thought that this necklace could make it a lilttle bit more edgy and complete the outfit.

PS Excuse the quality o the pictures, this will never happen again :(
What do you think? Let me know!

Margaret

Make up looks #1 Autumn version

Hello girls!
First, I'm sorry for the lack of posts, but school has started and I've been really busy with homework :(
Fortunately, I got the chance to relax and go out, and I thought I'd show you what make up look I'll wear most of the times.
I choose this make up mainly when I'm going out, but when I'm at school I change something: I'll tell you that through the post!

Here I am! It's quite simple but I think it's nice and quick to do in the mornings when I'm in a hurry.
So basically I decided to define my eyes with a mat brown eyeshadow and as highlight I  used a mat white eyehadow. For the lips, I went for a plum glossy lipstick (which are everywhere right now).
Here you have the list of the products used:

Face:
Bourjois Flower perfection foundation in 51
Collection Lasting perfection concealer in 2 Light
Essence Fix and Matte Translucent loose powder
Sephora Blush! in Rose

Eyes:
MAC Swiss chocolate eyeshadow
Mat white eyeshadow from a Nouba palette (do you know this brand?)
Essence Multi action mascara

Lips:
Kiko Sheer and creamy lipstick duo in 01 (it's really hydrating)

If you don't want to wear a plum-dark lipstick you can add a tinted lip balm to your look to make it easier to wear!

So, that's it!
I really hope you like it! Tell me what you think in the comments please!

Love,
Margaret

My trip in outfits! #London

Hello ladies!
I realized that my trip to London is completely over and I'm so sad!
Anyway, I'd like to share with you what I wore during my visit to London! Maybe I could give you some ideas! I hope you enjoy!

For this outfit I chose a Zara dress, I matched it with a flatternig black sweater, a pair of leggings and a vintage leather jacket, a H&M long necklace and big turquoise ring. For me, it was cold enough to wear all these things! Ahah For shoes, I went for a pair of ankle boots, which I got a year ago in Italy.

As for this outfit, I chose some really comfortable clothes because we went all around London.
I chose black leggings, a pair of pattern shorts from H&M, a white shirt and the same cozy black sweater.
For shoes, I chose this pair from H&M, which you have seen in my first outfit post (here).

The third and last day was pretty cold. I went for a pair of skinny jeans, the same H&M shoes as the second outfit, a creamy striped t-shirt from New Look (7.99£!!) and a Mango cozy sweater with pink buttons in the front. My bag is from Camaieu but I 'm not sure if you guys know this French brand .

Oh, I forgot to say that in all the outfits I wore an off-white cotton scarf.
As I said, tihs was a little trip but i thought that it would be interesting for you to see what I wore.
I really hope you liked it, if you have any request, tell me in the comments below!

Love,
Margaret

June to August Favourites!

Hello girls!
This is my first monthly favourites kind of post and I'm having so much fun that I will start doing it regularly!
This is a bit different from the upcoming others because it's a Summer favourites post!
Ok, so now let's get started!

As for make up, recently I've been loving my Naked palette, which came with me during my holidays. This is a multi purpose product for me because I also used the lightest shade as highlighter. It's handy, compact and you can create tonnes of different looks.
Another product I'm obsessed with is my Benefit Creaseless cream eyeshadow in Birthday Suit (full review here): I applied it as a primer and the eyeshadow lasts longer. It's a lovely, taupe-y shade, great for every look.

Lately, I re-discovered my lipsticks and since it was summer I tried my best to use them. My favourites were:
Max factor n°825 Pink brandy, which is a lovely coral. Extremely creamy, moisturizing, and a fabolous colour. Oh, it lasts something like 3-4 hours, then I re-apply it.
The second lipstick is from Kiko (Italian Brand which sells in different countries in Europe) Velvet Mat n° 613, a dark pink with a lot of purple in it. I used it basically every day, when I didn't want to wear too much make up: just this and nothing but mascara on my eyes and I was alright. I think I will keep on using this also in the winter.

 Left: Kiko - 613 Right: Max Factor - 825

As for haircare, Im really into it lately. During summer, my hair were really dry and it wasn't easy to style them.  But something happend: I discovered the John Frieda Frizz Ease Anti crinkling Serum - heat protection formula. I got it at Sephora quite a while ago. You should apply it both to wet hair before drying and to dry hair to smooth and protect them.  This made my hair feel a lot smoother and easier to style. The bad thing about this serum is the ingredient list: it has some silicons, so once I finish this up I won't repurchase it and try different products. What would you suggest? Tell me!

And then, Skincare! In one of my most recent posts (here) I told you that I had bought the Bioderma Solution Micellaire: this is my current make up remover: gentle, fresh, light. This doesn't cause me breakouts or anything like that, great product!

Another product I absolutely love is my Lush toner: Tea tree water. Since I have combination skin this is perfect for me! This is my third bottle and I'm finishing it up! A bottle will last you for three months, it's a never ending toner! Ahahahahah Seriously, it's fantastic, it contains tea tree, grapefruit and juniper. It's light  and refreshing but it doesn't leave your skin dry at all.

So these were my Summer favourites! They're not many but I really enjoyed using them!

What were your favourites this month?
Do you have any requests?
Tell me in the comments! :)

I hope you enjoyed this post!
Love,
Margaret
